development. From a local perspective, facilitating business
linkages can help small firms to gain access to opportunities
created by large companies and organisations.
GBD has worked with both large corporations and small enterprises
in developing programmes that not only benefit the local economy

Overview: Investigation and analysis of an existing business linkage
programme.
Reviewed linkages facilitated between large corporations and local
small and medium enterprises. (mining companies)
Identified constraints and opportunities for large-small enterprise
linkages.
Involved in the research and design of a pilot project, termed the
“Next Evolution of Linkages” (NEL).
